Maver E. Carey
TKC President & Chief Executive Officer
Maver Carey, a shareholder of TKC, has been with TKC since 1994, serving in a variety of positions before becoming President/CEO. She has served in Shareholder Relations, Administration Management, Human Resources, Vice President, and Acting President on two seperate occasions. She is currently responsible for developing corporate policies, strategic plans, and budgets. Mrs. Carey is responsible for the supervision and control of business affairs of the Corporation. She also serves as CEO of TKC Development, Inc. which encompasses all TKC's operating companies.
Raised in Fairbanks and Anchorage, she is of Yup’ik Eskimo and Athabascan Indian descent, with family ties to Aniak. She is a 1985 graduate of Robert Service High School and a 1990 graduate of Gonzaga, University in Spokane Washington. Mrs. Carey has served on a number of community committees and is currently treasurer of Kuskokwim Educational Foundation (a non-profit scholarship foundation, and a board member of Girl Scouts Susitna Council, and serves with her husband as team leaders for Anchorage Catholic Engaged Encounter. She has served as a board member of the Alaska Native Professional Association and graduate of Leadership Anchorage. She has been married to Jay since 1996 and they have two daughters, Kasila and Brystal. |
