The Kuskokwim Corporation's (TKC) most important asset and the shareholders most important resource are the lands around the 10 villages. The Corporation has an obligation to manage these lands for the benefit of the shareholders.

land use

TKC owns over 950,000 acres of surface estate land in the middle Kuskokwim region of Alaska. The Calista Regional Corporation owns the sub-surface estate of this land. Generally, most land along the Kuskokwim and other rivers and streams from about 20 miles below the village of Lower Kalskag to about 20 miles above the village of Stony River is owned by TKC.

TKC villages include: Lower Kalskag, Upper Kalskag, Aniak, Chuathbaluk, Napaimute, Crooked Creek, Red Devil, Georgetown, Sleetmute, and Stony River.

This map shows the regional corporations that were formed by the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA). There are 13 regional corporations shown on the map. Within each region there are many village corporations; currently some 200 village corporations exist within Alaska. The Kuskokwim Corporation falls within the Calista region.
