The 2nd Annual KEF Basketball Tournament
In Special Memory of Teddy Ausdahl, the 2nd Annual KEF Basketball Tournament was a success! Teddy was a life-long Kalskag resident until the Kuskokwim River claimed his life in August of 2005. He was 20 years old. It was our pleasure to have this tournament in special memoriam of Teddy.
Thank you to the Ausdahl family for their support! The games began at 5pm, Friday, December 8, 2006 in Kalskag, Alaska. There was a total of 8 men's teams and 5 women's teams. Congratulations to the men's Kalskag Ruff Ryders and the women's Aniak team for taking 1st place and to the captains of each team: Danny Ausdahl Jr. and Emily Stribling. This event raised a little over $6,000, of which 100% will go directly towards our scholarship fund.
